Pet Portraits in Pastel!
Pastel is increasingly popular in today’s art market, with collectors drawn to its luminous color, rich texture, and timeless beauty. It’s a centuries-old medium that feels both classic and refreshingly contemporary, and that’s exactly why it appeals to me for my pet portraits.
Pastel is the perfect medium for rich, vibrant portraiture. When properly protected behind glass, pastel is the most permanent of all media, for it never cracks, darkens or yellows. Curious? Learn more here.
Pastel paintings are usually framed with mat boards, to keep the surface away from the glass. Spacers may also be used if you prefer framing without mats.
I send detailed instructions for you and your framer on how to safely handle and frame your pastel painting locally. Another option? I can frame your painting in my studio so that it arrives ready to hang.
